Regulatory Compliance (EEC)

Chapter 28A, Section 10 and subsequent amendments to the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts mandates to the Office of Child Care Services the legal responsibility of promulgating and enforcing rules and regulations governing the operation of child day care centers (including nursery schools), and school-age childcare (afterschool) programs.

These regulations, 102 CMS 7.00, establish minimum standards for operation of group day care and school age childcare programs in the Commonwealth.  The regulations require certain things of licensees (childcare program owner) in regard to their work with parents.
