    Special Announcement Below

    SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are closely monitoring the weather forecast. In case rain remains in the forecast, an indoor contingency plan is in place to still host the event on June 10th.

A final decision will be made on Friday, June 6.

    • If the weather is clear: The event will be held outdoors at Pioneer Valley Montessori School (PVMS).

    • If rain is expected: We will pivot to an indoor celebration at the First Congregational Church in East Longmeadow (located on the rotary).

If you are the parent of a graduate and have not yet RSVP’d, please do so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

  • We’re excited to share that our toddlers who are moving up to Children’s House next September will have their very own graduation celebration!  Mark your calendars for the morning of June 10th—it will be a short ceremony full of smiles and proud moments.

Check out the Toddler Newsletter for more details!

    Please be sure to:

APPLY: Sunscreen prior to drop off

WEAR: Have your child wear their bathing suit under their clothing to school.

we often recommend children wear two piece suits for easy access to bathroom. If wearing swim trunks, boys should wear a top for extra protection from the sun

BRING: A plastic or reusable bag:

    • Towel, labeled with child’s name

    • Water bottle

    • Change of clothes

    • Shoes that can get wet (no flip flops)

If your child does not normally attend school on Monday mornings, they are still welcome to attend for Bubble Day! Please let your teacher know ahead of time to expect your child!

  • Students in our Elementary classrooms will enjoy one last field trip for some end-of-the-school-year fun!

    When: Monday, June 10

    Where: Look Park,  Northampton/Florence

Time:  Drop off your children at the normal time. They will leave PVMS at 8:45 a.m.

Late Pick Up: Pick your children up from PVMS around 3:30 p.m.

Fee: $5 per student (The total fee is $33, but our fundraising has offset the cost.) Please click here to pay or send exact cash.

*If you meet us at the park, there is a $5 entrance fee to pay upon arrival. Those with a military ID or handicap placard have free vehicle entry.*

Gear: Students should come to school wearing their bathing suits under their clothes as the changing area gets crowded. Students should bring a bag with a towel, a change of clothes, water, sunscreen (optional), and insect repellant (optional). *Please leave valuables at home.*

Support Us: We cannot do this without your support! We will need donations through Sign Up Genius for our potluck picnic lunch. We’ll also need help with transporting the food and supplies to and from the park. Once at the park, we will need volunteers to set up, serve food, and supervise students. Please contact your child(ren)’s teacher if you would like to volunteer.

  • All students – including toddlers – must be picked up at their normal dismissal times, or by 3:00 p.m., whichever comes first.

There is no after school program that day

After dismissal, join us for the Summer Send-Off Event put on by our amazing PCO!

    • ALL students are welcome!

    • If your child is not in school this day, or is a half-day student who has already left for the day, they are still welcome to come back for this event.

    • The PCO has sponsored an Ice Cream Truck to visit our school

Every student will be able to choose one free ice cream treat. (There are gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and fat-free options). Siblings (who are not students) and parents are welcome to purchase additional treats from the truck.

Then, join us on the playground for music and one last play time together before summer begins.  The truck will be there from 2:30-4:00. (All students must have a parent or guardian with them to receive the ice cream and stay to play.)

  • We are incredibly grateful to every volunteer who supported PVMS this year—whether you helped with laminating projects, participated in the PCO, assisted with events, or contributed in countless other ways. Your time and energy truly make a difference, and we couldn’t do it without you!

A special shoutout to the David family for assembling and positioning our brand-new picnic tables—just in time for our 60th celebration—with help from the Hayden and Smith families, their enthusiastic helpers, and Mr. Daylin.

Every act of volunteering—big or small—helps us create an exciting environment for our children, staff, and families. Thank you for being part of what makes PVMS such a special place to learn and grow!
