Admission Procedures (see forms at bottom of page)

  • Schedule an appointment to tour the school, observe classrooms and meet the Head of School.
  • Submit an application and a non-refundable fee. Upon receipt of your application and fee, we will open an admissions file for your child. If your child is currently attending school, we will also require a Release of Records form. This form gives PVMS permission to obtain information from your child's current school.
  • If you are applying for financial aid, please indicate so on the application and read the instructions on this website.
  • Elementary children in grades 1-3 spend a morning in the classroom that he/she is eligible to enter. Students entering grades 4-6 will spend a full day in the classroom that he/she is eligible to enter. Preschool children will meet with their teacher just before school begins in the fall.
  • Families accepted to the school must secure enrollment for the fall by returning the enrollment contract within two weeks.

PVMS encourages families of all races, creeds, cultural heritage, political beliefs, marital status, sexual orientation, national/ethnic origins and disabilities to join us.

ADMISSIONS CALENDAR 2012 - 2013

October 2011 though March 2012: Prospective parents visit and tour PVMS

November 2011 Complete the application forms and pay the application fee, Release of Records form, get recommendations, arrange interviews and classroom visits.

Jan 30, 2012 Re-enrollment forms for current families are due to hold a spot for the 2012-13 school year.

March 1, 2012: Completed applications are due. See the appropriate program below (Toddler, Children's House, or Elementary) to be sure that you have all the parts of your application on file.

March 15, 2012: Accepted students will be notified by mail.

March 30, 2012: Contracts for enrollment in the 2012-13 school year are due.

April 1, 2012: Students on the waiting list will be offered any available spaces for the 2012-13 school year.

CHILDREN'S HOUSE (PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN)

Schedule an appointment to tour the school, observe the classrooms, and meet the admissions team.

A complete application includes five parts:

1. The application form. You may download the form or ask the school for a paper copy.
2. The non-refundable application fee.
3. Your child's records from any previous schools or daycare centers. You will need to fill out and submit a Release of Records form for PVMS to obtain these records. You may download the form or ask the school for a copy.
4. An evaluation form to be completed by child's previous school.
5. A parent/child interview with the PVMS Head of School and/or your child's prospective teacher.

ELEMENTARY PROGRAM

4. Student Evaluation Form to be filled out by current school. (see below for form)
5. A school recommendation from a teacher, principal or head of school.
6. A student classroom visit. Your child will spend a morning (Grades 1-3) or a full day (Grades 4-6) in his or her prospective classroom.
